Autumn colours

It's not the most appealing looking fungus but it's a new one so I'm saving it. Someone on iSpotNature thinks it might be a scarlet caterpillarclub fungus.  In which case, it's attached itself to the underside of a moth pupae - I don't know if that kills it or not.  It doesn't quite have the same pattern as other ones I've now looked at but I've not really got a fungi clue!
