Carpe Diem

We popped into the allotment and restocked the bird feeders on our way out to Slateford where we ascended the steps behind the Water of Leith visitor centre to walk back into town along the canal towpath. Although I've walked along beside the WoL a lot, this was was the first time I'd walked along the canal.

It seemed that a lot of the population of Edinburgh had had the same idea - it was really busy. Lots of bikes, runners, walkers, children, dogs.....and also some paddlers in boats. This one was called Carpe Diem and belongs to the St Andrews Boat Club, which turned out to have a boathouse a bit further along.

It was a beautiful day.
