Does anyone know what's happening?
Soooo Edinburgh's in Tier 3. Is that better or worse than Tier 3 in England? Who knows?! No mixing of households indoors but does that include single people who have formed a bubble with another single person for support? Who knows? No travel in and out of one's Tier apart for work, education, caring, exercise, weddings, funerals, etc, etc. Seems a bit mad. That list seems to cover pretty much everything.
Are these new rules actually rules or guidelines? Who knows?
And where does one actually go to get information? Who knows? There needs to be ONE 'easy to understand' website that is being constantly updated as the new 'rules/guidelines' are announced. The government websites are so complicated that it takes forever to find anything out. And most of the time one can't even find out what they want to???!!!!
…..........................And actually nobody seems to be following the rules anyway.................. Today Ann went on a bus into town because she was doing a 'Meet & Greet', which is obviously classed as 'going to work'. She hasn't been on a bus since September (because we've been in St Ives for most of October) but the bus to and from town was a lot busier than it was a month ago. And because the people Ann was meeting had been delayed, she decided to have a mooch around Primark & Tkmaxx. Is that really essential? No it's not. And the people she was meeting had arrived by train from London. They'd originally wanted to go to Glencoe but weren't sure how easy it would be to get public transport to there so had decided just to have a few days in Edinburgh instead?????
…............................And we certainly wouldn't want to be in Wales but at least they seem to be doing it properly. Close the schools/close the universities/close the non essential shops etc, etc and escort people who are trying to cross the border, back out again!!! This whole Scottish system just seems like a shambles to us. Soooooo we'll just do our own thing and hope for the best??!!
This morning I went for a big long walk through Braidburn Valley Park, all the way over Braidburn Hills, down into the fields above the Hermitage, into the Hermitage and then home. It was fabulous. I even managed to roll in some fox poo which made me very, very, stinky. Yay!
Tomorrow I'm going on a big long walk with my friend, 'Bertie the Beardie'. Think that's allowed under the current rules/guidelines but who knows? The whole system has just become so confused. Unless you watch the 'Nicola Sturgeon' updates daily, most normal people haven't a clue what is going on.
Ann's view on the situation is.......................... 'Lock us up or let us go'. The 'half-measures' obviously aren't working!!!!!!
Toodles.
