Richmond Park

Totally magnificent day!! Started off with an adventure to Shoreham Harbour to investigate the swimming opportunities in the wild weather. 2 learnings. One- it’s spot on for swimming in the wild weathers- all calm and flat. And second- if you wait for a bit past the “Jesus it’s cold” then it turns into the glorious sea swim. No need for wetsuits, it was fabulous and made me properly happy and full of joy for hours after.

By which point I was walking round Richmond Park with Lesley. I’ve never been before- totally loved it. Back to my Premier Inn, quick change and then outside v tasty dinner. Now in my comfy bed with the end of the years Gardeners World. And still a lido swim in the morning to come. Am delighted with my day!
