Blossom
... was too gorgeous not to be blipped.
The morning was spent on chores, getting a new fire grate and doing fireplace repairs. I’ve realised that Booths is the best option when it comes to queuing in torrential rain and high winds, as it has a good long covered stretch to stand under. Once done, and to escape yet another day of the Veneerings on fine form, I went up for a blast on Askham fell hoping that storm Aiden might be enough to blow them out of my headspace. Luckily Blossom and her owner instantly cheered me up as I got out the car. She was leaping and diving after her ball in great excitement (Blossom, not her owner), jet powered by the high winds. I walked (battled) my way up onto Heughscar and afterwards drove onto my friend’s to pay for my ticket for Uncle Vanya anticipating the lockdown and not knowing when I’d next be able to visit.
