Whales at Grutness

A better day, although the wind and rain was lashing off the windows this morning.  It cleared by lunchtime, and a sunny afternoon, still windy tonight, but at least dry.

A lazy morning around the house, although I did nip down to the pub to collect some things.  The plans are looking great, and can't to see it transform.  Headed out at lunchtime, and met friend Julie. We took the dogs for a walk at St Ninian's beach, West Voe beach and Grutness.  More walkies this evening, but mostly feet up.

Messages came in, saying Orcas were heading south, and by chance, they were heading directly to us.  It was a tad cold, but the wait was worth it.  Always a pleasure to see them, but as usual, I worry for our seal numbers, as they killing machines, stop at nothing.  Some members from Pod 27, pounding through the rough seas.  Taken at Grutness Voe, Sumburgh.
