Makarora River

We have been trying to do this walk for a few weeks now but the weather did not permit.  Today was perfect.  Just over an hour’s drive from Wanaka we set off down the track to the Blue Pools.  After that we carried on along the track towards the Young River.  Didn’t get as far as the river.  A wonderful day.  A few extras:  lunch by the river, the first swing bridge and the Blue Pools.   Difficult choosing the main pic!
