Reflections
Scotland trip day 10.
Whilst we were having breakfast we were entertained by two red squirrels playing under an oak tree, and then a couple of pheasants came strutting by.
Later we travelled to Perth, two reasons for our visit, one to visit the caravan accessory shop to buy a mains adapter for our water supply (who says we don’t lead an exciting life).
Our second reason was a bit more fun , we started with a lovely walk along the banks of the river Tay, where these padlocks adorned the railings. We then entered Inch park where we saw this lovely statue, called Frozen in Time a memorial to the 51st Highland Division.
Leaving the river behind us we made our way through the city centre to visit the ‘GREYFRIARS BURIAL GROUND’ sadly like most of the attractions it was all closed up.
Back in the car we stopped to buy some provisions. We have catered for ourselves this week as we have not felt comfortable eating out.
Heading out of Perth we take the road to Blairgowrie (passing the closed Scone Palace on the left). We later stopped for coffee and cake overlooking The Loch of Clunie - the subject of today’s blip. I thought this tree looked like it was suspended in mid air.
By the time we left the Loch it was getting dark so we headed back to base.
PS. it didn’t rain all day.
