WINTER'S TEASE
This old silo has seen better days. But this is how it pretty much looks around my neighborhood these days. Although we're expected to have a week-long stretch of above normal temperatures (low 60s F....16 C.), the hammer will surely fall soon. This month we typically have several inches of snow on the ground. Farther north, the ground is already snow covered. This is good for hunters of White-tailed deer. In fact, my friend S stopped by the other day with some venison chops and a sausage from a beautiful buck he shot during the archery season. Venison....corn/alfalfa fed, low fat, high protein. Excellent table-fare.
