Abracadabra

Now you see it , now you don’t and oh my goodness, how delicious it was!
The new restaurant on the block, a stone’s throw away, opened today and I was invited by friends to join them for lunch and be the first customers.
There is a pastry chef on the premises and it would have been rude not to have indulged in an eclair filled with blackcurrant cream and white chocolate as a dessert.

As for the BP taking yesterday, it never happened because I couldn’t get the cuff to inflate and so I packed the monitor back into its box, told Amazon I was returning it, got a QR code from them and took it to a designated shop to print out a return address label to Hermes. It was all done and dusted by 8:15am leaving me to buy another one from the local pharmacy. I haven’t had time to try it out yet. Can creamy eclairs raise your BP??

It’s amazing how many people pass by on the other side of the railings that I enjoy having conversations with. Fellow blipper LeeAnne, messaged me to say she was in the vicinity and would be free for a chat if I were in. It was lovely to see her and we managed a lengthy blether despite the barricade between us. It’s about all that is possible given the restrictions on people in your house or garden, but it is so good to be able to chat to people and she is such good fun.

It has been a quick day so far and having just taken a loaf out of the bread maker, my tasks are completed and I must now get to grips with the new BP monitor.
