Worth a try

A few words sent up to Saint Apollonia, the patron saint of dentistry, in the fervent hope that the braces might get removed soon.

Apollonia was obviously not listening. When I asked how much longer the braces would be needed I just got a chuckle and "a long,long time - see you in another five weeks".
