Remember, remember the 5th of November

Normally I’d enjoy a fireworks display (from a safe distance) but was worried how the puppy would cope. He appears to be completely unconcerned by them which is good but I know other pets are very frightened by them. Perhaps they need to stop selling them to private individuals?

I managed to ripen our late crop of tomatoes in the airing cupboard and spent the afternoon turning them (with the addition of a few vegetables and a splash of red wine) into a chunky tomato sauce for the freezer.
