Popular walk

Good news – looks like Biden is the new President of America.
 
It’s been an unexpectedly  warm day with the temperature in the mid teens,.
So I went for a walk around Cocksburn reservoir and found many people had the same idea too.  These walks are becoming my new social life as I get to see many of the same people .
 
As for rising Covid and job losses  - how much worse can it get? The fact that the Chancellor is extending the furlough scheme until the end of March is ominous.
 
Here’s another unexpected side effect of Covid.  Denmark is to cull their 17 million farmed mink because of a link with the virus. It seems to have mutated. Farmers will be “retrained”.
 
   
If it means the end of factory farming of mink in order to produce a luxury item then we are beginning to realize that the exploitation of animals through factory farming is not only unethical but potentially dangerous too.
