Warrumbungle National Park

We took the scenic route through the Warrumbungles, including a short bushwalk and a visit to Siding Spring Observatory (extra). The park is also an International Dark Sky Park. The privately-owned Warrumbungle Observatory offers night tours, including premium experiences for night sky photographers. My iPhone wouldn’t cut it.

Oh, and the owner of the Warrumbungle one is Peter Starr. I heard him on the radio talking about a forgotten woman radio astronomer, Ruby Payne-Scott, a few days ago.
