Glass Prisms and Fong Lees Lane
We’re in Dubbo, a big regional centre a couple of hours west of Mudgee.
Having been to the open range zoo last time, and not keen on historic gaols, it had to be the cultural centre. The main is a section of one of Ross Manning’s light sculptures, made from glass, LED light, an oscillating fan and timber.
I couldn’t find any information about the small red building in the extra. Fong Lees was a huge department store in Wellington but closed during the Great Depression. A couple of years ago local artists painted murals along the store’s back lane to celebrate the town’s Chinese history.
Thanks for hosting Ingeborg.
