Lunch with a view

Today we needed to collect a few things from town and as we were quite late decided to visit a cafe for a light lunch. The Marks and Spencer's cafe had not had a shipment and therefore had little to offer. So we went up to the third floor cafe which overlooks the harbour. It is an amazing view on a day like today. The cafe was empty and so we sat by the window with the seagull outside watching us eat (see extra) He was quite bashful and each time I lifted my camera to take his photograph he quickly moved out of the way. So, this was a fast surprise shot!
The fireworks are going off again this evening but thankfully not quite as noisy as last night.
