Mum

Having had a lovely weekend with the newest member of the family, I'm now spending a few days with the matriarch!My mum is 88, almost completely blind, fiercely independent and still living with a wee bit support in the house she and my father bought in 1959. She won't go out without her lipstick, loves bright colours, even though she can't see them properly and is an inspiration to us all. Tomorrow she and I are going shopping for an outfit for my daughter's wedding in June. She'll probably look better on the day than I will!

Great grandchild number 13 is due in a couple of weeks - she can't wait!
