misty morn

I was up early this morning hoping for a nice sunrise. It was dark outside but looked misty. I got up and out anyway and sure enough it was so misty it was reluctant to get light. I went for a walk and kept going further than I had planned because although it was cold there was something quite special about the atmosphere and intriguing about the wintry sun coming through and then retreating again in the fog. The sun didn't win the battle until almost lunchtime.
