Peeking duck!

The ducks (and gulls and pigeons) scoffed down the Cheerios very happily, when we took little Miss B to feed them. Mallards are easy to identify (see my Extra), but who is this beautiful brown duck with the spotted white bib? Have failed to identify it so far. UPDATE: It, too, is a mallard - a juvenile!

Our little granddaughter is certainly on the mend, but still not quite herself. She's not normally whingey, but after another broken night, she was very tired.

Did a little gardening for Family B today - some deadheading, weeding and potting out. Gave their lavender a haircut, leaving a couple of stems that are still in bloom. Amazingly, a number of rose bushes are covered in buds that, I suspect, may well flower if the weather remains mild.
