Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2020 Saturday — Driving thru LA

Today we left the Central Coast and drove to SoCal so that we can be back for a Monday afternoon doctor’s appointment for Mr. Fun. We’ve enjoyed a wonderful 9 days here in Cayucos.

When we woke-up this morning, we realized it had rained a good portion of the night. I thought about asking Mr. Fun if he wanted to wait a day to make the 4-hour Drive, but I knew the chance of rain tomorrow was quite good and our things were all ready packed. So, we filled the ice chest and packed the car; I put clean sheets on the bed; and then I put the harnesses and leashes on the pups and down the stairs we went. Jumped in the car at 8:15 and headed south.

We only drove thru rain for one short section of road as we exited Buellton and headed toward the Gaviota coast just north of Santa Barbara.

This photo was captured in Burbank (I think) on the 134 Freeway that takes us thru Pasadena and then on into the Inland Empire. Take a look at that Los Angeles blue sky and the distant hills. It was a gorgeous day to travel.

Our driving time was 3 hours and 55 minutes, which is pretty good. If my math is correct, we have now spent 161 days in our lavender house starting back on December 28, 2019.

Good Night from SoCal,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi Too
