Springing into life.....

...... but it's not even fully winter yet!
It was very mild and dry today so I got out into the garden to do some work for the first time in a while. I was cutting back the Japanese anemones when I found these daffodil bulbs beginning to poke through the soil. Is this something else that's appearing at least a month early, or is my memory not as reliable as it used to be?
