WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

8 Years Married...

...but 24 years together! It took him a while  - he says he was making sure I was the right one!

Guess what - we went for a 5 mile walk. My knee felt OK yesterday and today so instead of driving into Skipton to start the walk in Castle Woods we walked from the boat along the tow path and up through the woods and then back through town and home. The woods were looking beautiful and leaves we're fluttering down adding to the already thick russet carpet.
It was sooooo good to get out after 2 weeks not going for a walk. I did strap my knee up before we set off. Don't ask why I did that outdoors!
We got veggie samosas from the paper shop (the owner's wife makes them) and vegan doughnuts from Gregg's and washed them down with Fentiman's drinks - mine was my fave Rose Lemonade. We sat by the canal for this anniversary treat! I'm easily pleased :-D

The photo is of the Blacksmith Boat which is moored in Skipton throughout this lockdown. It was interesting to see his workshop and good to know we can get boat stuff from him if we need anything.

Sabrina said the girls are filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas child. She took them to the shop to buy little gifts. Little Lucy wanted to get her child a notebook and pens - (like Grandma she is a stationary addict :-) and they got other nice things too.

I was looking for some knitting wool on line and as a vegan I won't use wool from sheep bred for meat.
I have bought local wool from sheep that are purely kept for wool but the wool is not dyed and I want some in blue, purple, gold and red. I found some from 2 different sheep sanctuaries where the sheep are rescued farm stock.
I was made up to find some and can't wait for it to arrive.

All in all it's been a lovely day :-

Goodnight :-)X
