Poppies

As we drove out of our street today we had to stop at the junction as there was a memorial service going on at the war monument. We thought they weren't going ahead but people were socially distanced so it was nice to see.

We came down to the boat and got settled. After lunch I was reading and fell asleep! It does me no good really - sleeping in the day time - as I feel snoozy for ages afterwards.

I thought it was about time I did some art work again so I drew the above poppies and enjoyed doing it.

We had a veggie Chinese take away for tea, one veg curry and one portion of chips is always enough for both of us and it was really tasty.

I've just watched episode 1 of the 3rd series of 'His Dark Materials'. I love it even though I don't fully understand it. I never saw series 1 and only saw the second half of series 2 last year. I will at some point read the books.

Yesterday evening from my knee to my toes was really painful again and I used the tens machine and took pain killers, it has been fine all day today. I hope it stays that way as we want to go for a walk in Skipton Castle Woods tomorrow. 

Bella May has spent the evening under the heavy blanket again as there were fireworks going off.

The weather wasn't too bad today but whatever the weather, it feels like a big black cloud that has been hanging over the world for 4 years, has been blown away. Mind you there will still be unrest to come both in The White House and on the streets.
