The Church of St Anne...

... Buxton.

The exterior of this little church really doesn’t do justice to the interior, which is very pretty and ornate. (I intend to blip it one day soon). It is said to be the oldest building in Buxton and has a date of 1625 over the porch, but parts are thought to be older.
It also has a listed gravestone, belonging to one John Kane, a famous comedy actor of his day, who died having eaten hemlock with his roast beef, mistaking it for horseradish, poor man. (Some accounts say it was aconite or wolf’s bane).
Today’s offering was St Anne’s or the post box.
So I give you St Anne’s.
The post box will wait.
