Fancy a swim?

During the pandemic swimming pools have been closed and we have seen swimmers in the North Tyne at Chollerford from Spring onwards. It's chillier now, but that did not stop Jill and Barbara from enjoying the water. They did not even wear wet suits.

I saw them from the bridge at Chollerford whilst on my walk. I've included them as an extra so you can see where they were. An 85 mm lens was not ideal for the job, but was very good for photographing them later when they had donned lots of layers and were having a hot drink.

I had a late start this morning. Mum was quite a bit brighter but faded in the afternoon. She did, however, manage more food today and has not felt nauseated.

We watched this week's episode of Bake Off and were sure that Peter would be dismissed. He lives to fight another week! 

I've cooked lots of apples and have utilised a new apple corer. It removes the skin in a spiral. Not easy to persuade it to work for all apples, but it's good on the small ones that would be a nuisance to peel by hand.
