Today in the office, among the very stripped down number of people in, someone in a distant room was belting out the song Cecilia for around one and a half hours.

Another colleague I jumped on a call with was using a video background of the Four Seasons Total Landscaping shop frontage, parodying the ridiculous Trump press conference that got the wrong venue.

Both of these things helped to distract from some very frustrating news received about my visa. Limbo is going to rumble on for a good while.

In the evening, despite some technical hitches, Berry, Helen and I managed to jointly watch an episode of Bake Off via phone screens, Skype, laptops and headphones. It was almost like being there.

I was told that Prue Leith has rescinded her membership of the Conservative Party due to the lack of guarantees around food standards post-Brexit. Imagine being fine with the rest of their antics but that being the thing that pushes you over the edge.
