The Thames at Night (back blip for Tue)

This is the River Thames, looking West from Blackfriars Bridge. In the distance, where the river turns south, you can see the somewhat Art Deco roof of Embankment Place, built in the 1990s to cover Charing Cross station.

I was cycling back from an evening spent with Hessie listening to Ben Goldacre lecture on medical trials and missing data, a subject he's understandably passionate about. His book Bad Pharma covers the subject in more detail than a one-and-a-half-hour lecture, but he's an entertaining and engaging speaker, so I'm very glad that I got the chance to see him speak live.
