Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Hallo, hallo, Can you hear me?

Amazing what you see when you open the curtains to admire the sunshine. He's about 20m away and fixing the BT line on the telegraph pole. So near and yet so far. Apparently we are unable to have a BT line as our telegraph pole was removed. That narrows our choice phenomenally as almost all other providers use BT cabling. The line can't be brought in from the front as apparently Virgin own the cable in that street. Unbelievable in a capital city that the council gave a monopoly in that way so we are stuck with Virgin or mobile broadband. We can't even threaten to leave to negotiate a better price. Ah well.
I got stuck into the garden today, pruned the climbing rose and the two standards so that is the garden bin full already. It was only emptied yesterday. I also got my new Boscobel rose potted up. I haven't a space for it at the moment so it can have a season in a pot while I rearrange things.
I picked a large proportion of the raspberries, now that I've cleared the beans I can get at them. A pound picked and plenty left for next week. We had some of them for dinner, delicious.
I can't believe that's another week gone, mid November already, what a year! I amused myself last night and googled the Scottish World Cup song from 1982 with John Gordon Sinclair. It's hilarious if you haven't seen it.
Sorry about the long link but I'm on my phone.

The great thing about being Scottish is how amazed we are when things go right, we're very good at poking fun at ourselves!

Keep safe everybody, we've got a lot of matches to look forward to hopefully.
