Chocolate and date cake

After reading about this on Ridgeback13's blip, we had to have a go at baking it.  It has rained pretty much all day today, so ideal baking weather.

It certainly smelt pretty good as it came out of the oven.  Not sure how the 2 of us are going to cope with eating it - as it seems unlikely that we'll have any visitors over the Xmas period this year!!!!!
