Shop Front History

This little shop is literally just 500 yards from my front doorstep. It has had several incarnations over the years - it was originally a newsagents, then a mini-mart (very mini in this case) and now a motor (road, rally and race) spares shop. When we were kids it was a newsagents and the nearest shop to our school, which was at the bottom of the same road. We used to all pile in there prior to school starting to stock up on sweets - no wonder some of us were hyperactive, we were full of the E numbers from all those sweets! 
Much to our disappointment it then became a Happy Shopper mini mart but no longer sold sweets. I remember my mum doing a weekly shop in there and the shopkeeper would always deliver it - even though we lived such a short distance away. 
It was then closed for several years but reopened as a motor spares shop but I have yet to ever see anyone come out of, or go into, the shop since it has been in this guise. Strange!
