Mission accomplished

Over the long weekend (Canterbury's Anniversary), I've got my vege garden underway.

In the original raised garden bamboo skewers protect lettuce, parsley, and spinach seedlings. They also protect a single courgette plant on the far right that I'll train to grow up the stake. Vertical growing is something I've wanted to try for a long time.

The new raised garden has the olla pots buried and 2 differently sized tomato plants and 1 pepper planted. A small stake marks where I may plant another tomato in a few weeks, if my recovery continues to progress well.

It's modest and I intend to keep it that way. Recovering from concussion needs the right balance and this needs to nourish and nurture, not burden me.

Today's gratitude: For conversations with 2 different friends. They were just what I needed.
