Near Tennant Creek

Listening this morning to a report about the world’s largest solar farm, which is to be built in the Australian desert near Tennant Creek. It will supply electricity to Darwin and thence by undersea cable to Singapore.
 
In 2004, on our first big outback adventure, we camped at the Devil’s Marbles (Karlu Karlu), also near Tennant Creek. Yes, they really are that big and that really is a person up there. It was the first time we put the tent up, and by the time we had finished we were exhausted, cold and in need of a little pick me up (extras).
