A challenge for the future?
I went to Farnham in Surrey today for an appointment with the dental hygienist. She was resplendent in full PPE gear and it all went well. On a walk into town afterwards I came across this sign pointing the way to the start of the North Downs Way. 153 miles which, if I ever take it on, would take me near to Swanley in Kent where I grew up. I recall a sunny day's trip as a 17 or 18 year old with friends to Trottescliffe (pronounced Trosley) and looking out on the North Downs. Perhaps walking the North Downs Way would be something to aim and plan for post-pandemic!
