Buying beer

Two to three times a week during this latest lockdown, I walk down to The River Ale House and buy four pints of takeaway beer. Today it was four pints of Goody's Good Life, a pale ale. Standing in the doorway, I talked football with Steve and Trevor - a rare opportunity to talk face-to-face with a human being outside of our household. Sad to see the tables - normally busy on a weekday evening - all empty.

My niggly knee has improved a bit since yesterday. I had expected to be off running for a week, but perhaps it might be a touch less.
