Sun up - Sun down

I did two walks today, both in the St Ives Estate.

I walked with my neighbour at 7.30 just after it had stopped raining and there was a hint of pink in the sky indicating the lovely, if rather chilly day to follow. The first shot is taken from Blind Lane looking across the pony fields.  We met blipper Auntie P on the way around the golf course and saw another friend with her dog as we descended past Lady Blantyre's rock just as the sun came through.

I texted my friend and suggested we meet this afternoon instead of tomorrow because of the weather so it was back again at 2.00 pm.
A slightly different route this afternoon taking in The Ivy Kitchen for a cuppa at one of the picnic tables. As we got back to the car park the sun was just disappearing, seen here looking across Low Park. A great day enjoying the rare sun.

More great news, out ATN community choir has been nominated and received a commendation for ‘Inspiration during lockdown’ by the Royal Philharmonic Society.

It is really well deserved as Chris, our choir leader, has certainly put in the extra mile over the last 35 weeks with Zoom singing sessions to suit everybody, sometimes every day.  We are still raising money for charity by sponsoring a Christmas song to be sung at three sessions in December, already more than £600 raised. Also, some of you will recall, we have been recording Christmas favourites for a video to be distributed around care homes that we are unable to visit this year.

Well done Chris and ATN!
