Tom’s standing stones

I went for an early walk as it was sunny. A flat one so that I didn’t need the walking poles therefore protecting my elbow from RSI.

An 80 year old friend Tom was busy with his digger at a neighbour’s house so stopped for a chat. A bit of a coincidence as I walked along the road for 1.5 miles to the field opposite his house where he and his son constructed their own standing stones from stones they’d excavated in the course of their work.

On the way back I stopped to chat to a women I used to meet at the gym when it was open. She was admiring progress on the house she is having built. It has a stunning view across the river to Simonside.
