Jesmond Dene

We decided to have an urban walk this morning. We parked at #3 daughter’s house and walked in 2 pairs through Jesmond Dene as far as Newington Road then went back on the other side of the Dene. It was 6 miles. It wouldn’t have been much further to go the Tyne via Ouseburn but we had to head back. It was sad to see Fisherman’s Lodge boarded up. Of course we didn’t spot any birds but it was an interesting walk which we’d not done for years. It was busy though and there were groups of 3 that didn’t go Indian file.

Nathaniel is happy to be back to school and having other boys to chat to about Ninjago. Ella is really hoping she’ll be one of the two from her class to get PEN. (The right to use a Biro and not pencil). Her mum is trying to prepare her for disappointment!

Another appalling error by our current PM. Maybe Priti bullied him into keeping her on.
