A Walk in Ellon
Ellon lies about 15 miles north of Aberdeen. I went out there today to meet my friend Flossy, a dog who lives in Ellon. We had a walk along the River Ythan from her house, as far as the Auld Brig or Old Bridge constructed in 1793, which crosses the River Ythan and used to be the main, or only, entry into the town from the south.
We were out for a bit over half an hour. When we left Flossy's home there was not a could in the sky, however by the time we reach the Old Bridge there was a cloud front coming in. By the time I returned to Aberdeen it had become quite cloudy and a bit hazy, haze which turned into a slight mist.
Had an amusing time with Flossy who seemed quite pleased to go out for a walk, but then it would be unusual for her not to fancy a walk. As usual she covered several times the distance I covered in a more direct route, as Flossy's walk included many detours to investigate the area to either side of the path. We were both had muddy feet when we got back to base, in her case very muddy.
