Early morning ablutions

On account of #1 son mishearing their dog walkers holiday arrangements we unexpectedly have Islay dog for today and the next three days. She arrived pre dawn so I had to set the alarm, something I haven’t done since March. The reward was an early morning circuit of Pollok Park which was blissfully quiet, wildlife everywhere, and it nudged me out of my Groundhog Day routine. The heron was perched high up in the big tree on the opposite side of the river, annoyingly I didn’t have my camera with me. I’m nevertheless quite happy the phone shot and I managed to get one mid-preen.
Repeated the circuit, in the opposite direction later in the afternoon when it much busier. Good catch up with P which made it worthwhile.
