Unique mode of transport

I took this as we passed him and had to blip it, even if it's not in focus. Amazing how people find ways to get around. I noticed the gas can, so maybe his car ran out of gas. Curious about the wonky wheel and why he was wearing ear protectors, although lots of big trucks use this road. It's been a very dreich day, and at least he might have a bit of protection from the rain.
We had to go to town and it was less busy than I expected, thank goodness. I have to go again tomorrow afternoon for an appointment. We ran into a friend who said that going grocery shopping is an outing now. Too true! I'm thankful that we can go shopping and don't have to order groceries online.
Our daughter had sent me a gift card to Indigo for my birthday, so I created an account and ordered two books to be delivered - first time! It was easy peasy. I'm looking forward very much to reading Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart, the winner of the Booker Prize and set in my home town of Glasgow.  I also ordered A Gentleman in Moscow that a friend recommended to G. The scheduled date of delivery is Dec. 23, just in time for Christmas. Perfect! Thanks, Renata!
Extra: empty chairs. Too wet and chilly to sit outside. I took this from the car while G took some book to donate to the library.
