Mrs. Tree and the Moon
Mrs. Tree is a Bradford Pear in our front yard. Nearly every fall she turns gold overnight, but I'm thinking she's giving this year a miss. There's a little red in there, but nothing impressive on the whole. She does have a lot of interesting berries at the moment. I turned to photograph those and missed the beautiful biplane flying right under the moon. Rats - that would've made a much more compelling blip.
A good phone visit this evening with a long lost uncle, my mom's brother - that was a surprise for sure. At 81 he's the last of the Kinley family. That's a name we've never been able to trace, at least before arrival in Pennsylvania in the 18th c. Any ideas, on the Kinley family name in the UK or elsewhere, would be very welcome! Meanwhile we're headed into the Thanksgiving holiday, which is very welcome here.
