this is the life

A fabulous start to the day on the Common.  Big blue sky, frost and two white horses (best viewed large).

I meet wee Bertie from next door.  He recognises me and runs up for a pat.  His owner is waiting for her daughter, who happens to live in the town.  Daughter also has a wee dog - Bonnie - who is equally sociable.  

We exchange a few pleasantries.  I also speak to the owners, then head home for breakfast.  This is the life.
