Fill and his friends Greenfill.
Delivered today from Harts of Stur.
New poultry shears, and a stainless steel sauté pan. I use my sauté pan a lot, and am fed up of buying so called nonstick ones. Hope this lasts a bit longer. I thought it was a good buy. £28.50, RRP £95. Seems too good to be true, but I wouldn’t have paid £95.
The packaging was what we found interesting.
Some blippers may have come across this before, but have been used to buying things from shops until Covid started, and hardly bought anything online.
It looked like polystyrene, but in fact it is made of GM-free starch making them 100% biodegradable. ( see extra)
So we collected Fill and his Greenfill friends up, and ran them under warm water in the sink, and hey presto they dissolved away.
They were made if maze starch, which had been extruded using heat and high pressure.
It could also be put on your compost heap if you have one.
Very clever.
So after all that excitement, we went for a walk round Oakwell country park. Haven’t been for a couple of months. Just managed to get parked in the overflow carpark. It was certainly busy. Mainly dog walkers. There was also quite a queue at the cafe for takeaway drinks.
However we did manage to keep our distance, but don’t think we will go again for a while.
Lockdown has made many such places so much busier during the week.
Just managed to get back home in time for our next delivery. This one from Majestic wines. Now well stocked for Christmas. (Maybe!)
