Maple is coping great
Maple is a trooper. She definitely notices her casts, but is very tolerant of them. She has still been able to go in the sling, in her bouncer, the exersaucer and the jumper. All the bouncing and jumping is a bit louder with the extra weight, but it seems to have almost added to the fun! I feel so proud of her!
Oscar and Bailee's eyes are green for her casts, or 'boots' as they call them. I might get them to design their own tomorrow!
Oscar's curls are growing back... I love to see the hair getting long enough on the sides for the curls to start forming again. I have desperately missed his side curls! Bailee's hair is much thicker, but her curls are also tight. Especially at the back. The twins didn't show signs of curls until 9 months. I wonder what is going to happen to Maple's hair?
I took Oscar and Bailee to Appleseeds play area this afternoon. We had a great time together, hiding, rolling, driving 'the car' and shape sorting. I had to intervene at one stage when Oscar got a bit heavy handed with a fake banana but all in all great fun. We met someone who has a son a similar age who we are going to see there again next Wednesday. Oscar and Bailee have always been friendship magnets.
I ordered an organic box from 'Go Organic' to try today. It didn't get delivered until 915pm at which time the guy rang the door bell (Very loud, doesn't he know some people have children!) All is forgiven though as the box smells and looks delicious. I love the eggs as there is such a range of shapes and sizes. I haven't seen spinach like this since NZ and the celery, potatoes and oranges look vibrant and fresh. The pumpkin appears very pale and I am suspicious as to how sweet and full bodied it will be. I will have to report back. The apples are the only non-local item due to apples needing a cooler climate to grow in. They are Royal Gala's from none other than little old New Zealand. Looking forward to steaming and stewing them up for Maple.
