Home studio

As part of my course, I need to clock up several hours in the studio each week. Lockdown has made this more complicated and, in fact, slightly less pleasant as we're required to wear masks the whole time that we're in the studio, even though we're on our own!*

Even ten years ago, I think this would have presented me with a pretty insurmountable challenge logistically; the studios are in Salford and I usually am not! However, the development of music software has reached the point where I have an almost equivalent studio at home. OK, the monitoring is not quite studio standard but apart from that I have access to pretty much everything I need.

Plus, I have to say that the view is better :-)

*The lack of clear guidance is a key feature of the Tories handling of the pandemic, with organisations left to interpret the rules/make it up as they go along.
