Traditions

Every Thanksgiving - after the meal has been prepared and eaten, and the kitchen cleaned up - we all sit down and watch the movie "White Christmas".  This has been a family tradition for years - actually since I was a girl.  

The holidays can be hard.  Earlier in the day J and I sat and talked of past holidays with our children and extended family.  Now our children are thousands of miles away, and most of our extended family are no longer living.  But we are very grateful for each other.  

Earlier this week, J and I celebrated our 44th anniversary.  We obviously didn't go out to a special dinner, and since J can not drink anymore, we didn't even celebrate with champagne.  But we celebrated anyway.
