PECKERWOODS

I might have Blipped this one before....I do not remember. But I have a woodpecker who likes to "do his work" on the post supporting my roof railing. I have yet to catch him in the act but when he commences to work, the whole house shakes. You can see where I've spray painted some of the previous damage...it doesn't seem to bother him. He just keeps coming back for more. 

I may have to redo this support column...and if I do, I'll use Ironwood (which doesn't get its name accidentally). Perhaps this little nuisance will get a headache from it and decide there are better ways to make a living.
