Wild Horse

A while back we visited friends in the State of Maryland. A bunch of us met in Ocean City as a base camp and we spent a week visiting several interesting places nearby. One such place was Assateague Island National Seashore. It's a cape shaped island off shore and it is populated by herds of wild horses. Most of them are hidden during the day but we managed to see this one running down the beach front right through the swimmers and fisherman. It was the first wild horse I've ever seen...although these horses are habituated to human presence and they tolerate our presence. Look closely and you will see there are no shoes on those hooves.
