St Benedict’s Convent

Today we went on an urban walk around Dumfries which took us up the abandoned buildings of St Benedict’s Convent. The Convent was built in 1881 for the nuns of the Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament .
It was used as the setting for the 2002 film ‘The Magdalene Sisters’
