Morning moonlight

Another very broken night's sleep last night - I seem to be doing one on, one off at the moment. One good night, one bad night etc. Last night even the soothing tones of Radio 4 podcasts were not enough to induce sleep, until the early hours.
I had arranged to look after Frieda from 8.30 a.m., to help Marianna and Jack with work commitments. So it was an early start. Early enough to watch the moon setting beyond the houses on the streets at the back of our house.  This beautiful morning was, at least, a treat.
And Frieda, Richard and I had a lovely day together.  At nearly 17 months, she is really picking up speed now with her language skills. Her understanding has been good for a while. But now there's a steady flow of new words each time we meet. Today's set included 'happy' (with accompanying broad grin), 'socks' and something that was definitely intended to be 'Richard'.  Given that she is growing up bilingual (English and Greek), we are seriously impressed.
